Elector's/Electoral Palace Garden, Palastgarten, Trier, Germany, Europe

Gardens in the grounds of the Elector's Palace (archbishop of Trier - one of seven individuals able to participate in the election of the emperor). The south wing of the palaces is visible here, built in rococo style (1756-61) under Johann Philipp von Walderdorff. The taller building behind the palace is the Evangelical Church, using Roman remains of a castle/palace complex for reconstructions in 1856.
