1927 GMC Sedan Delivery Van The Imperial Bank of Canada had a fleet of maroon-coloured express vehicles that travelled between some of its branches. Different vehicles were used for different purposes, some to transport bank executives and others to deliver cash, cheques and packages between branches. Each vehicle was given a personal name-the one you see here looks very similar to a beauty called “Austin” which joined the fleet in 1931 and was used for delivering packages.
