Portrait of whom adels. Wiert Adels, mate on the Kofschip 'De Bloomende Blom'. He wears sea dance clothing and holds a gun in hand. His arm rests on a piece of guns. The blooming Blom was hijacked by the French in August 1794. Adels recovered the ship and brought it to Hellevoetsluis in Hellevoetsluis on 5 August.
