Many crotons and 4-inch ferns were sold. There were more made-up baskets and boxes this year than ever lief ore. These were made up to sell at all prices and there were more to sell at popular prices than had ever been known before. Erdman & T'lrich liad a fine lot of cyclamens again this year, also prim- roses and flowering begonias, and had no trouble in cleaning up on everything they had. Anything in bloom sold this year; if it could not be sold a single plant it could be used in baskets. James Glass had a fine batch of pep- pers and poinsettias, the latter both in pans and for cut stock. Fred Bauer had a nice assortment of blooming plants this year. His peppers, cherries and begonias were exceptionally fine. Lohr & Fritze had just their regular cut. They do not believe in forcing much for Christmas. Their idea is to have a good regular cut.
