A chiselled cup-hilted rapier, Brescia, circa 1630 A double-edged, ridged blade with a double "pi" mark on both sides of the ricasso. The asymmetrical cup with a reinforced rim is attached with screws. The exterior is chiselled with leafy vines, birds, and monsters in relief. Fluted, S-shaped quillons with monster head finials and a knuckle bow set off with balusters. The six-sided pommel is chiselled en suite. Iron wire winding (a replacement) with braided ferrules.
