A Kashmiri rebel seen shouting pro- freedom slogans as he attends the funeral procession of Zeenat ul Islam, in Shopian, about 60kms south of Srinagar, Indian administered Kashmir. Zeenat-ul-Islam the most wanted rebel commander was killed along with his associate during a shoot-out with government forces in Kulgam area of south Kashmir. Government forces fired bullets, shotgun pellets and tear gas to stop the mourners, leading to injuries to at least 16 people.
