Heliozoa (sun-animalcules) are unicellular eukaryotic aquatic protozoa. They have long stiff arms (actinopodia) radiating from their spherical bodies, which they use to capture their prey and for sensation and movement. Magnification: x3500 when printed at 15cm wide.
