UNDISCLOSED LOCATION, AUG. 12, 2018 -- Marine Corps Maj. Scott Symons, a pilot of an F/A-18 Hornet assigned to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 115, Marine Aircraft Group 31, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, conducts a preflight inspection prior to takeoff. The pilots of the F/A-18 provide aerial security for the Marines on the ground while providing a close air support for the Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force, Crisis Response-Central Command.
