Mission specialist Franklin Chang examines an experiment on board the Space Shuttle Columbia during mission STS-61-C, (January 12th - 18th, 1986). The floating bag is a student experiment for the measurement of auxin levels and starch grains in plant roots; it was devised by Chia-Lien Wang of Baylor University.
