A magnificent strain of the White Spine which has been improved by careful selection, for forcing in hot houses and frames; very tender and crisp. This variety was discovered in a field of Davis Perfect, and is now so thoroughly established that large fields of it do not show any variation in plant or fruit. Vines make a strong growth and produce an abundant crop of Cucumbers, which are slightly larger than Arlington White Spine, more cylindrical and have dark green skin. Oz., 15 cts.; ^ lb., 40 cts.; lb., $ Klondike. [See cut.) This valuable variety is one of the best for slicing, and will produce Cucumbers equal in appear- ance to the hot-house grown specimen. The color is rich, dark green, and the fruits grow to a uniform size, measuring about seven inches in length and two inches thick. Oz., 10 cts.; )i lb., 25 cts.; lb., 85 cts. Early Russian.
