A flintlock pistol, Balthasar Zellner, Zell am Wallersee, circa 1720. Round, slightly swamped barrel with seven groove rifling in 12 mm calibre and well preserved finish. Chiselled iron with ornamental gold inlay on the breech, signed "BALTHASAR ZELNER" in gold on the barrel rib. Gilded rear sight. Flintlock has floral engraving. Single set trigger. The lock plate is signed, "OGER. LEBLAN". Lavishly carved walnut full stock (minor filling at the tang) with a horn nose cap and original wooden ramrod. Bronze furniture with fine relief and well preserved gilding. ,
