VIETNAM - ON THE FERRIES OF THE DELTA OF MEKONG. In the Mekong Delta, water is ubiquitous with the various arms of the river that bathes the territory. The construction of multiple bridges is not possible for economic reasons and because of the instability of the Mekong due to erosion, floods and tides. To allow people to cross the many tributaries, whether they are on foot or conveyed, many boats make round trips all day long. They are called ferries or ferries. VIETNAM - SUR LES FERRIES DU DELTA DU MEKONG. Dans le Delta du Mekong, l’eau est omniprésente avec les différents bras du fleuve qui baigne le territoire. La construction de multiples ponts n’étant pas possible pour des questions économiques ainsi qu’à cause de l’instabilité du Mekong dû à l’érosion, aux crues et aux marées. Pour permettre aux populations de traverser les nombreux affluents, qu’ils soient à pied ou véhiculés, des nombreux bateaux font des allé-retours à longueur de journée. On les appelle des ferries ou des bacs.
