George Richards Minot (1885-1950), US physician, physiologist and Nobel laureate. Minot shared the 1934 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine with George Hoyt Whipple and William Parry Murphy. The share of the Nobel was awarded for Minot's work on liver therapy in cases of anaemia.
