The 30 foot boat Collective Spirit, made from 1,200 pieces of donated wood, including parts of HMS Victory, the Mary Rose and Jimmy Hendrix’s guitar, sets off on its maiden voyage from Hayling Island, Hampshire to Brighton. People were invited to donate items that could be used to build the boat, which was commissioned to celebrate the London 2012 Olympics.
