The top, alone, is ornamented, eitherwith braiding or embroidery. They can bemade of enamelled cloth, velvet, or any othermaterial, and should be pasted on stiff paste-board. The pasteboard for the bottom shouldbe seven inches every way larger than the top. Cut out a square of seven inches at each comerof the bottom, in order to allow the sides toturn up. Line both the top and bottom withcolored muslin, letting the lining of the bottomextend over on all four sides, the length andwidth of the top cover, which should be thesize in which it is desired to fold the two ribbons on each of the long sides,and one on each end.
