The origins of the Sanctuary Regina Montis Regalis are joined to one of the biggest events of popular piety of our land: the rush of thousands of faithful and pilgrims around a pylon humble and lonely of the Virgin and Child. We are at the end of '500, in an age that historians call the great moment of popular Marian piety throughout the Christian world. At Vico, a spiritual movement arose from a European dimension for the dell'accorrere vastness of the crowd, for the repetition of healings and conversions, for the grandeur of the event.
