Sgt. Michael J. Cohen is the recipient of the District of Columbia National Guard Best Warrior of the Year award at the annual Awards and Decorations Ceremony at the DCNG Armory on December 3, 2017, at the DCNG Armory, Washington, Earlier this year, Cohen emerged as the first Soldier in the DCNG to compete at the national level of the Best Warrior Competition, after winning first place at the regional level.
