Marc Delao, Naval Facilities Engineering Command Hawaii, commanding officer, competes in the ‘ulu maika, or stone rolling game, during the 17th Annual Makahiki Festival at the Rainbow Bay Marina, Nov. 3. The Makahiki, or Hawaiian Thanksgiving, is in honor of Lono, the Hawaiian god associated with agriculture, rainfall, and peace.
