Time of emergence.—Moths began emerging May 10, but the cold weather held them back, and the maximum period of emergence did not occur until May 25 to June 5, with a maximum of 115 moths on June 2, which was 12 days later than in 1919. Oviposition hy moths of the spring^ brood.—Oviposition records were obtained from 824 moths confined in cages of about 25 moths each, and tabulated in Table 19. The averages are cage and not indi- vidual averages. (See p. 68 for some individual averages.).
