Adipose fin twice as long as deep, its base equal to that of rayed dorsal, from which it is separated by a space equal to 1| to 2 times its length. Anal 12, 9 rays branched. Pectoral spine I- length of head, strongly serrated on inner side. Caudal deeply forked ; lobes long and pointed, outer rays 3 times as long as median. Caudal peduncle about twice as long as deep.
