Willy Lott's cottage by Flatford Mill famous for being in John Constables painting The Hay Wain in 1821. Willy Lott 1761-1849 was a tenant farmer of about 39 acres part of Gibeon's Gate Farm. The cottage dates back to the 16th century and stands adjacent to the River Stour in Suffolk, East Anglia.
