A rare cased pair of percussion pistols, Adolphe Jansen, Brussels, circa 1850. Short, octagonal, drop-barrels with rifled bores in 6 mm calibre. Over the breeches gold-inlaid marks (Stöckel, no. 538). Back action (reblued) box-locks with safeties on the side and the signatures "Ad. Jansen Arq du Roi" on top . Walnut stocks with fluted butts and smooth iron furniture. Rare system, by dropping the barrel, the action is simultaneously cocked. Length of each cm. In (newly) cloth-lined wooden case with some accessories. Key missing. Dimensions 45 x x 9 cm.,
