A pair of German cuisses for a three-quarter armour, circa 1570. Cuisses sliding on nine lames with poleyns of two lames. Slightly ridged in the middle, the edges partly turned and roped. Two rows of rivets on each side, underlaid with decorative tin discs shaped like blossoms (one missing). The cuisses can be shortened twice. Old, intact leather covering. Length 51 cm each. Beautiful parts of an armour in untouched condition.
