The Tree of Tule in Santa Maria del Tule, Oaxaca Mexico, has the widest trunk of any tree in the world. It is a Montezuma Cypress, estimated to be between 1500 and 2000 years old, with a circumference of 42 meters or feet. It stands next to the Church of the Virgin Mary of the Assumption and is listed in the Guinness World Records.
