It is the world's 12th longest river land and a major trade route in Southeast Asia, running though China, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. The Mekong basin is one of the richest areas of biodiversity in the world. This is one of the ferries that cross the large, muddy river during the monsoon season.
