The bridge of Sima in Crete island, the highest built bridge in Crete and a construction miracle for the time it was built.

The bridge of Sima in Prases Rethymno is the highest built bridge in Crete and is a construction miracle for the time it was built. It is located on the south side of Vrysina, on the road that connects Rethymnon with the area of the Amari dam, bridging the two rocky sides of the wild Kaminolakos gorge. The Chamber of Sima was completed after 1912, although it was auctioned in 1910, after many years of planning the road connection between Rethymnon and Amari. The arch of Sima has three equal arches, built on very high plinths.
