The statue of Brithnoth on Maldon promenade beside the River Blackwater, Essex, England UK
The 9-foot high statue of Brithnoth was erected beside the River Blackwater at Maldon in October 2006. It stands at the end of the Promenade looking down the river estuary towards the site of the Battle of Maldon in 981, where Brithnoth fought a Viking army and lost. .
