Strip of bobbin lace with oval flowers and drop shapes between volutes, Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: old Brabant lace. The pattern has two alternating and overlapping symmetrical compositions. One composition consists of an oval flower topped by a heart-shaped flower between two s-volutes. The other composition consists of a drop-shaped motif, above which an inverted oval flower hangs between two c-volutes. The motifs are connected by a lattice ground, a round Valenciennes ground. The full work is largely made in linen stroke with cut-outs and openwork edges and partly in net stroke.
