NAVAL AIR STATION SIGONELLA, Italy (Aug. 27, 2021) – Navy Sailors and a Department of State interpreter help an evacuee from Afghanistan deplane a Air Force C-17 Globemaster III at Naval Air Station (NAS) Sigonella Aug. 27, 2021. NAS Sigonella is currently supporting the Department of State mission to facilitate the safe departure and relocation of citizens, Special Immigration Visa recipients, and vulnerable populations from Afghanistan.
