Manuel de la Cruz remarkable literary figure and patriot, born in Havana 1861. He published some outstanding works such as, 'Episodes of the Cuban Revolution' (1890) and 'Cuban Cromitos ' (1892). He emigrated to New York. He was secretary of Estrada Palma. He died in 1896.
