The trolleyIS mounted upon a thoroughly insulated platform, and is raised, low-ered and controlled by the motorman by means of compressed is therefore no danger at any time of contact with live partsof the trolley. The bow carries a large, flat aluminnm shoe, whichmakes contact with the under side of the trolley wire. For low potential service, whether alternating or direct current,a modification of the Union standard trolley is provided, as thebow type could not be used in the city of Indianapo
