Hike to Keiservarden in Bodø, Nordland Norway. Keiservarden is a mountain plateau on top of Veten hill near Bodø, Nordland in northern Norway. Vaagovand Lake. Norwy. Europe. This hike starts at the big parking lot below Turisthytta in Bodø. From here you walk the dirt road up the forest until the path on the right side starts. Follow the path and stone stairs and you will eventually end up at the top of the little mountain called Keiservarden. This mountain is named after the German Emperor Wilhelm II who visited this spot 19. July 1891. The hike is around kilometers from the parking lot to the top of Keiservarden, which takes more or less 30 minutes with a regular hiking speed. Here you get a great view towards the Bodø city center and it’s beautiful surroundings, as well as the island of Landegode
