Gammage, of London, and W. E. Groves, of Hamilton, were recent vis- itors to Toronto. W. J. Gammage has accepted the posi- tion of general chairman of committees outside of Toronto for the organization of the Canadian end of the F. T. D. con- vention. All Canadian florists will be given an opportunity of contributing to- wards the real Canadian welcome to the thousands of visitors who are expected this year. J. J. H. BRAMPTON, ONT. The Market. > Business is good, better than last year, which is saying a great deal, and the prospects for the spring and sum- mer are, if anything, more hopeful than last season. Beauties are coming into crop freely and will be the chief item on the pro- gram for Mothers' day. Orchids are getting scarcer and other flowers are lessening in quantity, owing to the early throwing-out that is going on in the greenhouses. Various Notes. Fred Cox, for ten years a shipper at the Dale Estate, leaves next month to open a store of his own at Oshawa. Walter Eigg, of the same establishment, has gone to W. E. McClure, at Chatham, while Charles Norton has opened an up-to-date store at Welland, Ont. T. W. Duggan is at Pittsburgh this week, attending the wedding of his son, R. B. Duggan. J. E. Cooper and C.
