Although recorded from only two fishes in the northeast Atlantic region, it is hkely that this parasite also occurs in Katsuwonus pelamys, Euthynnus alletteratus, Coryphaena hippurus, Sarda sarda and Thunnus thynnus, especially in the southern latitudes of this region. There are several 19th-century records of this parasite (see Nigrelh & Stunkard, 1947) from these hosts in the Atlantic Ocean, but the precise region is not Usted. Aspects of biology. The life-history of this species is not known. Aloncle & Delaporte (1970, 1973, 1974) have used this parasite as a 'biological tag'. 204.
