Pkt., 10c; oz., 40c; Va lb., $; lb., $ Ailsa Craig This is a recently in- troduced onion of the Prizetaker type, which, like that vari- ety, in order to oblain best results, should be started in hotbeds. Grows to an even larger size than the Prizetaker. It is lighter in color, skin almost white. It is very fine grained, with mild flavor. It is now being grown quite extensively and profitably by market gardeners. Should have a place in the home garden. Pkt., 10c; oz., 40c; 34 lb., $; lb., $ Flat Varieties RED WETHERSFIELD. Most popular of the red flat varieties. Grows to a large size and is very productive. Be- ing a good keeper, it is grown largely for shipping and also for onion sets. Color, very dark red. Pkt., 5c; oz., 20c; J4 lb., 75c; lb., $; 5 lbs. for $ EXTRA EARLY RED FLAT. This is a smaller and earlier onion than the Red Wethersfield. Of good quality and flavor. Pkt., 5c; oz., 20c; Ya lb., 75c; lb., $ A fa- Also WHITE PORTUGAL. An early, white, flat variety, vorite with set growers, and a good pickling sort, forms a fair-sized onion of good keeping quality. 5c; oz., 35c; $; lb., $ YELLOW DUTCH or STRASSBURG. This is the kind largely used around Chicago and elsewhere for growing sets. Produces a handsome set of good shape and color and of splendid keeping qualities.
