We think itof great importance that all instruments should be made powerful andsolid, so that they do not bend when applied to hard tissue. For hemo-stasis the well-known clamp forceps of Pean or Kocher are suitable, butthey must be chosen quite long for the purpose of ligating in the deeperstructures.
