Tryparedoxin peroxidase. Molecular model of a tryparedoxin peroxidase molecule from the parasitic protozoa Trypanosoma cruzi, the cause of Chagas disease. This enzyme is an antioxidant that is part of a system for detoxifying hydroperoxides. This molecule is being investigated as a target for drugs to treat Trypanosoma sp. infections.
