Amphetamine is a potent stimulant of the central nervous system. It effects can include improved cognition and perception, fatigue resistance, mild euphoria and increased libido. Amphetamine is used in the treatment of ADHA, narcolepsy and obesity, but it is more widely known as a recreational drug. Amphetamine taken in large doses over time can cause delusions, paranoia, muscle breakdown and addiction.
