Shewas born 19 Nov., 1828. Luther S. Cushing died 22 June,1856. Graduated from Harvard Law School in 1826. Hewas Clerk of the House of Representatives, Mass., for 12years, from 1832 on. In 1844 he was elected a representa-tive to the Massachusetts Legislature, and the same yearwas appointed Judge of the Court of
