Christ Enthroned ca. 1230 French Christ appears in majesty holding a book, signifying his identity as the Word of God incarnate. His right hand was probably raised in blessing. The hole in the center of his body indicates that the figure was originally mounted to a larger Christ Enthroned 464225 French, Christ Enthroned, ca. 1230, Ivory, Overall: 4 15/16 x 1 7/8 x 1 1/4 in.
