Am ling has some very attractive long stemmed carnations which he is disposing of Louisville. Business last week was rushing, and everyone seemed satisfied. The weather was changeable, but the temperature was always moderate, so stock in general could be had in adequate quantities. There will be enormous quantities of stock for the Easter business, both in cut flowers and plants, especially so of the latter. Roses are in great supply, the quality and demand being very good. Carnations are unusually good in qual- ity, the supply being fair, and the de- mand good. Violets of fair quality sell well, and lily of the valley has had a very good demand, the quality and supply both being excellent. Sweet peas are in good supply and find a fair demand. Marguerites, tulips, hyacinths, jonquils and daffodils can be had in satisfactory quantities, with the possible exception of hyacinths. The regular monthly meeting of the Kentucky Society of Florists was held Tuesday night at Jacob Schulz's store. Nanz & Neuner have had a very good crop of Enchantress carnations. F. Walker & Co. have been displaying some good azaleas. F. L. S. St. Louis. The market has fluctuated the past week owing to weather conditions.
