Chiesa Parrocchiale di Santa Maria Assunta, Issogne, Valle d’Aosta, Italy: vivid modern paintings in the Santa Maria Assunta parish church, located next to the castle (Castello di Issogne). The paintings are by Luciano Bartoli and date from 1972. The church was built in 1736 with a neoclassical facade. The bell tower of a previous church on the site became a corner tower of Issogne’s castle.
