A pistol with captive ramrod, dated 1856, similar to the French model an XIII pistol. Smooth bore in 18 mm calibre, with an anchor mark and the number "G33" stamped on the chamber (and repeated on the tang). Converted percussion lock with the year "(1)856" and an anchor mark on the lockplate. Walnut half stock with iron/brass furniture. Trigger guard with a moveable sling swivel. Captive iron ramrod.
