A Fowler 6nhp A4 Traction Engine "Monty". Built 1900 Registration number: NK5309. Works Number: 8781. Here it is pictured at the Wiston Park Steam Rally in the South Downs National Park. "Monty" started life with Hertfordshire owner - Hill of Ware. G. Taylor of Redbourne, Herts purchased the Engine around 1920. Since, it is noted as owned by Briggs and Rickards of Fairford, Gloucestershire working as a thresher and involed in the clearance of trees. Last working in 1946 the engine was restored in the late 1970's and is currently owned by Mr Simon Blaker of East Sussex. (Information with thanks from the Wiston Steam Rally programme).
