We extract thefollowing from Dr. Comerfords account of tlu^ jiarish^ : — In the latter portion of the last, and the beginning of the presentcentury, Orangeism was rampant in the town of Mountrath, and theCatholics were subjected to constant insults and acts of violence fromthe dominant faction.
