A fine French small-sword with chiselled hilt, circa 1770 Beautifully preserved tapering hollow triangular blade with etched and gilt decoration on a blued panel. Openwork iron knuckle-bow hilt cut with rocaille and trophy decoration in low relief. The outside of the double shell-guard partially gilt. Original (slightly incomplete) grip winding and Turk's heads of corded silver wire.
