Above glossy greeuisli black, primaries pure black ; cheeks, ear-coverts, sides of the neck, and entire under surface silky white, the sides of the body, flanks, and thighs, as well as the lower under tail-coverts greenish black ; bill shiny black ; cere, orbits, and feet black ; iris dark brown. Total length 6-5 inches, culmen 0-5, wing 4-4, tail 2-7, tarsus 0-85. Young (II. erythrogenys).
