Barrel lug locking with Kersten (double Greener) system. Reich proof marks. Good bores, can be improved by cleaning. Oiled walnut stock with fine chequering. Trigger guard refinished, fine pitting. As opposed to customary company inscriptions this rifle was marked "Merkel Frères". Distance front trigger/butt cap cm, total length 106 cm.
