Olivaceous-gray, below white, merely tinged with yellowish on sides; head-markings obscure; wing-bands and edgings, though evident, nar row and whitish ; no decided olive or yel-low anywhere. Size of belli; wing andtail of equal lengths, little over ; ; tarsus ; middle toe and ; spurious quill about ^ as long as 2d,which is intermediate between 7th and8th. A small, obscure-looking bird, re-sembling belli, but much grayer, tail relatively longeshorter. Questionably right to reduce this to a subspecies of belli, for the difference is obvi-ous at a glance, and more decided than that separating most of the subspecies.
