Ushaia, a remote town on the shore of the Beagle Channel in Tierra del Fuego, is the site of departure for many trips to the Antarctic Penninsula and the sub-Antarctic islands. It is often called the southern-most city in the world. The town is back by the snow covered mountains of Tierra del Fuego Province of Argentina. Outside of town there is a hacienda that offers BBQ lamb, sled dog rides and tango demonstrations.
